About our Products
Our products are ethically made in BC, Canada. We use undyed merino wool that hasn't been through the superwash process - which allows it to felt, making it perfect for wool cloth diapering.
Daytime vs. Nighttime
The difference between our daytime and nighttime versions is all in the rise!
The daytime fit is particularly good for trimmer inners such as flats and prefolds, and lean to average-built babies.
The nighttime version has a significantly higher rise which accommodates for the extra boosters and bulk you may need to stuff your overnight diapers with. The nighttime version may also a good option if you are using fitted diapers, as these tend to be bigger than other inners.
The nighttime version is better for chunkier babies with rounder bottoms. My sister used our nighttime shorties for both day and night because her daughter had a thicker build.
The nighttime version has a special place in our hearts because it's why the shorties exist. After I made my sister the first pair of longies, she requested something to make it through the night leak-free. It needed to be a high enough rise that you could fit the biggest bulkiest diaper underneath and still have a comfortable baby. Because her baby nursed ~all night loooong~ I made it with three layers of wool, and so the ultimate nighttime solution was born!
Layers of Wool
One layer: A lightweight option, great for daytime and hot weather.
Two layers: The most versatile. More protection than single layer without being bulky. Good for long car rides, and even overnight for some babies, particularly those who aren’t at the milk bar all night.
Three layers: The ultimate nighttime solution for even the heaviest wetters (only offered in shorties).
Longies
Don't. Size. Up. Our longies are made significantly larger than brands of regular infant clothing to accommodate for a big, fluffy bum. Unless you have a baby that is quite tall for their age, I would stick with the age brackets. If your little one is extra chunky, the nighttime option might be better for you. Never hesitate to send us a DM on instagram if you would like help choosing between sizes.
Shorties
We have a large range of sizes in our shorties so you can find the perfect fit for your baby's needs. You don't necessarily need every size. You can skip sizes depending on how your baby grows. Some little ones get long and thing, while others get chunkier first.
When designing the shorties, my sister and I had babies close in age but different body types. My twins were born at 36 weeks, and slow to gain weight at first. Even as they grew, they continued to have leaner frames. My sister's baby was deliciously chunky with a thicker frame. She outgrew most fitted diapers by 18 months. Naturally, we wanted to have options that would work for all of them.
Starting from Birth
XS: This is a great option for those who plan on cloth diapering right away. It's also good for those who have smaller babies, or multiples (twins, triplets, etc.) who are born early and can stay smaller for longer.
S: If you typically have larger babies you could skip the XS and start with S. If you're not going to cloth diaper right away (some people like to use disposables until the umbilical cord falls off), you may want to start with S instead of XS.
